On Monday, the Ibovespa climbed 1.1% to settle at 162,482, marking its fourth consecutive session of gains. This upward movement comes as investors processed new domestic indicators that bolstered the prospects for more lenient financial conditions. The central bank's Focus Bulletin revealed a further reduction in the median CPI forecast, now anticipated at 4.36% down from 4.40%. Concurrently, the projected Selic rate for 2026 underwent a downward adjustment to 12.13% from 12.25%. The IBC-Br economic activity index indicated a 0.2% month-on-month decline, further supporting potential rate reductions in the future. On the corporate front, Rede D’Or São Luiz drew attention with a 4.7% surge following the approval of Interest on Equity and dividend payouts. Financial sector leaders also excelled, with Banco Santander leading the pack with a 3.4% rise. Meanwhile, Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, and Itaúsa saw increases ranging from 1.6% to 1.8%, highlighting the market's inclination towards sectors sensitive to interest rate changes.
