Moldova’s economy saw a robust 5.2% year-on-year growth in the third quarter of 2025, marking the fastest expansion since the fourth quarter of 2021, and improving from the 1.1% growth recorded in the second quarter. This economic momentum was largely attributed to a marked increase in gross fixed capital formation, which rose by 3.7%, alongside a 2.5% improvement in household consumption. Externally, a substantial 14% rise in the total exports of goods and services bolstered GDP growth by contributing 3.9 percentage points. Conversely, a 5.5% increase in imports detracted 3.1 percentage points from the GDP. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the economy grew 1.5% quarter-on-quarter in Q3, a slight decrease from the prior quarter's 1.8% growth. For the nine-month period from January to September, GDP expanded by 2.0% compared to the same period the previous year.
